Mi Viejo in Carrollton

Nice atmosphere. Family friendly. Great food and service. This was our first time here but we will be back!

We love Mi Viejo. Their food is fantastic. My husband gets the steak Mexicans every time. It is a 12oz. T-bone streaked that has the best seasoning topped with sauteed tomatoes, onions and peppers. Last time I had the Pollo Bandino. Grilled chicken breast, sliced then covered in their cheese dip with flour tortillas, rice and beans-fantastic. Service is good but most staff speak Spanish better than English so you have to listen very well but it all works out. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You must go here and eat otherwise you are missing one of the best Mexican restaurants.

Of all of the places I have eaten at in the area (including Indiana) this restaurant is by far the best.The service was top notch. Very little wait.The chips and salsa are excellent.I had the Pollo Bandido. The chicken had a great flavor and great grilled taste. The queso that was with the rice and beans was very good.Advice. Do not ask for the hot salsa. I like stuff pretty hot but I couldn't take but a few drops of that stuff and then head to chase it with beer guacamole or the regular salsa.My wife had a chimichanga rice beans, pico de gallo. I tasted her food, and it was pretty dang good too.She had a sweet tea with her meal and she like that also. She is pretty picky about her sweet tea being a native Tarheel. Try the tea.We didn't have room for dessert because the servings are so large, but I saw some pictures on these reviews and the desserts look like they're worth a shot. I will try them next time.

It's always great food and service

I was passing through looking for a nice meal. I was very pleased. They have Mexican on the menu but also have a variety of steaks. I chose the filet and it was cooked exactly how I asked for it. Everything was tasty. Service was quick.

Delicious food!! Tried the buffet, available 11-230 and it was well worth the$9.99!! Always heard great things and am very glad I tried it!!! Great service, clean establishment and world class food.

Great Mexican food in an unusual place.

Good food. Good service overall. But food came out separate. Rustic atmosphere. Overall clean, bathrooms ok.

Fajita nachos are excellent. I've previously had enchiladas, but there red sauce is a bit weird. Overall, a great place. The patio is a great place to dine on a nice day. Service is quite good as well.

This was a great experience. The food was great the staff was great. Good prices and plenty to eat. We showed up with a party of ten and was seated right away. Will definitely be back.

This is one of our favorite places to go. The service is always friendly and fast, and the food is delicious. They have some of the best burgers (yes, burgers) in town. It's the place we take family and friends when they come to visit. Even my father, who normally hates Mexican food, loves this place. My husband's work also takes their visiting managers here for lunch. The Mi Viejo dip is incredible!

Great food and drinks! The bar could be tidier, but it wasn't dirty at all. Just seemed more like a staging area for the servers than the bar. Needs a little bar atmosphere.

This place is great! We visited for the first time on a Friday evening and it was the happening place to be. Service was prompt and friendly, food was delicious, prices are reasonable.

I had filet mignon and it was superb!!!! Cooked just perfect and so tender. It was absolutely the best filet I have ever had. The flavor was so delicious! The servers go above and beyond. We will be repeat customers forever.

Great steaks and service

Went here for lunch today while in the area traveling. This place is amazing! The salsa was delicious with a kick from the cilantro and all the food our group of 10 ordered was excellent. Should we ever pass by this way again we will definitely be stopping once again. Portions are generous and the servers were never far away or too busy to keep everyone's drinks full. Fantastic experience I highly recommend this place if you're nearby.

Food was good, typical American mexican restaurant. Nice atmosphere and decor seems like a good place to go for a drink. The service we had could have improved but it wasnt bad enough for a 3-star.

Overall this was a pretty good restaurant. We got the buffet and really enjoy it. the rice with queso on top was unbelievably awesome! The waiters were really nice, the restaurant was really clean, and the bathrooms were amazing. My only complaint or should I say room for improvement would be to make homemade chips not store-bought and homemade salsa not store-bought and homemade tortillas not store bought.

The food was awesome! But my friend was going to get a to go box and they took her food while she was gone to the restroom. Our waiter forgot about us.

I recently discovered this place about a month ago... Was great the first time. Then went the other day and decided i wanted shrimp. Tried one of their shrimp and cheese entrees. I fell in love with the shrimp. Cant stop thinking about how amazing this dinner was. Server is amazing there also.

Choices in carrolton are limited. But this place won’t let you down. Good food made fast. Good service. Great margaritas.

One of my family's favorite places to eat! This place is a little more upscale for a Mexican food place but the food is always good and it's fairly priced! The wait staff is always friendly.

We had the $9.99 buffet and it was really good. Queso, guacamole and other condiments were included in the pricing. Apple pay, free WiFi

Large portions of quality food at a great price. They put lots of meats and veggies in all their dinners, so you might plan on asking for a "to go" box. Sweet tea is the best around. The staff is always very nice and accommodating. Outdoor seating is always nice, too.
